Competition Information

Competition Format

The Iowa Games offers competition in singles, doubles, and mixed doubles. All divisions will be either round robin or single elimination, best 2 of 3 sets (10 point tie breaker for the third set). If the first two sets are split, a tie-breaker will be played in lieu of the 3rd set. At 6-6 in a set, play will be to a 7-point tiebreaker. First player to 7 points wins the tiebreaker. If possible, there will be consolations for all singles divisions. There will not be a playoff for third place. Both players will receive bronze medals. If possible, each entrant will be given an opportunity to play at least two (2) singles matches.

The tennis commissioner has the right to combine divisions if necessary.
